Nikita Agrawal
President 2023-2024 | Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Nikita Agrawal graduated from Whitney Young High School and is now studying Computer Science and Engineering at MIT. She is passionate about financial education and co-founded FinPro World, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which has an innovative approach of advancing financial literacy through computer programming. Nikita was named a Prudential Emerging Visionary and is a Coca-Cola Scholar. Nikita is interested in science and mathematics and received the Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) Scholar recognition in 2024. She is also a karate black belt and avid martial arts practitioner, having received both national and regional level awards.

Rahul Kochar
Vice President 2023-2024 | University of Chicago

Rahul Kochar graduated from Riverdale Country School in New York City and is currently studying at the University of Chicago. He co-led his school's Finance and Economics Club, and served as Chief Financial Officer of the New York branch of the JEC during the 2022-2023 school year.

Armaan Shah
President 2022-2023 | Harvard College

Armaan Shah graduated from the Latin School of Chicago and is studying economics at Harvard University. In high school, Armaan served as Student Government President, an Editor-in-Chief of The Forum, and soccer captain. He has interned for the Economic Awareness Council where he conducted financial literacy presentations, wrote articles, and assisted with research.

Shrey Jhalani
Vice President 2022-2023 | Harvard College

Shrey Jhalani is an undergraduate student at Harvard University and an alum of the Collegiate School in New York City, where he graduated cum laude. In high school, he served as the Student Body President and a captain of the math team, and he founded his school’s largest community service and peer tutoring organizations. Shrey has interned for the Burré Lab at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he engaged in research into the inner workings of Parkinson’s Disease.

Leo Kantrow
President 2021-2022 | Northwestern University

Leo Kantrow graduated from Walter Payton College Prep and is now studying economics at Northwestern University. In high school, Leo led his school’s economics team to success in a number of business and investment-related competitions, and participated in several other clubs and activities. He is currently working as a part time analyst at Magnetar Capital.

Eileen Ye
Vice President 2021-2022 | Harvard College

Eileen Ye is an undergraduate student at Harvard and a graduate of the Brearley School in NYC, where she worked with girls to foster their love of STEM. She is a 2022 Presidential scholar, Coca-Cola scholar, and Footlocker scholar. Eileen has won numerous awards in competitive mathematics, including the 2022 Jane Street AMC 12A award and the inaugural Maryam Mirzakhani AMC 10 award. She is an avid competitive programmer and plans to pursue a career in computer science and business.

Elizabeth Brahin
Chicago President 2020-2021 | Harvard College

Lizzy Brahin graduated from Walter Payton College Prep and is studying Applied Math & Economics at Harvard University. She is passionate about increasing access to financial education and, in addition to JEC, reached thousands of teens while leading On the Money Magazine and serving as a Peer Money Mentor. Lizzy also founded Queens United Chess, where she developed a program in collaboration with Chicago Public Schools to empower girls in chess. She has been recognized as a Coolidge Senator, a GE-Reagan Scholarship Semifinalist, and a Finalist in both the Wharton Global Investment Competition and National Personal Finance Challenge.

Baha Kharoofa
Chicago Vice President 2020-2021 | University of Michigan

Baha Kharoofa graduated from Saint Ignatius College Prep and is attending the University of Michigan. In high school, he was the President of the Robotics Team, the President of the Medical Club, and the Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Club at Saint Ignatius. He continuously volunteered at Care for Real, a food pantry in the north side of Chicago, and has interned at NewMedical Technology, a medical device company that creates scar refinement systems, during the summer.

Nina Boord
Chicago President 2019-2020 | Stanford University

Nina graduated from Jones College Prep and is now studying engineering and entrepreneurship at Stanford University. She is the founder and former CEO of Teen Insider, an online magazine for high school students. In addition, she has interned at MakerGirl, a nonprofit that exposes girls ages 7-10 to STEM through 3D printing, and BundlAR, an augmented reality tech startup.

Tiana Luo
Chicago Vice President 2019-2020 | Yale College

Tiana graduated from Northside College Prep in 2020. She is studying economics at Yale University. A Coolidge Scholarship finalist and former president of 2 school community clubs, Tiana continues to read widely and write avidly.

Carina Peng
Chicago President 2018-2019 | Harvard College

Carina graduated from Northside College Prep and is now studying economics at Harvard University. In addition to JEC, she acted as the Student Advisory Council Co-Chair at the Illinois Board of Education and fought for a CPS curriculum that better helps immigrant students. She also started a business through MIT’s LaunchX program.

Roshaan Siddiqui
Chicago President 2017-2018 | Wesleyan University

Roshaan graduated from Chicago Math & Science Academy and is now studying Computer Science at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He is currently the VP of Operations at YouthHack and a software engineer intern at MassVR.

Miro Ehrfeld
Chicago President 2016-2017 | Georgetown University

Miro graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep and is currently studying Global Business at Georgetown University. He has interned for congresswoman Cheri Bustos, worked in Tanzania to implement business proposals, and is active in the Students of Georgetown, Inc.

Maggie Browdy
Chicago Vice President 2016-2017 | University of Pennsylvania

Maggie graduated from Whitney Young and is now studying business at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. She has interned at PrintWithMe, Sidekick Education, the University of Chicago, and Chase Bank.

Sam Lurye
Chicago President and Founder 2014-2016 | Stanford University

Sam graduated from Lincoln Park High School and studied electrical engineering at Stanford University. He was the CEO and Co-Founder of Social Synergy Media and created a dating app for high school students. He was also a researcher at Nero Prosthetic Systems Laboratory. He is now the Founder and CEO of Kargo.

Samir Hadzic
Chicago Vice President and Founder 2014-2016 | Columbia University

Samir graduated from Lincoln Park High School and Columbia University with a degree in Statistics. At Lincoln Park, he started the Chess Institute of Chicago to give free chess education to elementary school students. He has since worked in analyst and data science roles at Applecart and Roc 360. He is now a data scientist at Chowbus.
